A quick video I put on YouTube for a good friend of mine, whom I met on a quick college trip down to SoCal. This is just a video test for the site right now, and I don't really know if it'll actually be up for long. Basically what I'm trying to do is figure out how YouTube videos will look on my site, in an attempt to further develop the amount of media that I can put here. Hopefully if all goes well I'll be able to essentially merge my YouTube channel with this site. =]

After tinkering with the general appearance of the site, I think I'll be filling some updates from this point in time with a few comments on some music that I listen to and encourage others to give a try. Most likely, I will be using this site to give some music reviews or shed insight on small-time indie bands that deserve more recognition than they have been given. In an attempt to open up the public's ears to music outside of the mainstream, I think it would be a pretty good idea to try to promote these smaller bands while posting their material onto my YouTube channel. It might be a stretch to say that I can make a big difference in the amount of recognition that these artists get, but hopefully one day people can come to my site just to check out some new and different music.

I'm trying to figure out how images would look the best on the site, along with moving around some layout stuff. As you can notice, a lot of the site has already changed, and I am working on making the comments system and updates system a lot more efficient. Next up for me is a tags system along with a search bar, but hopefully that shouldn't be too hard. Try clicking around the site and leaving a comment in this update with your findings/if the site loads fast enough, that kind of stuff. I know everything still looks really empty right now, but I'll get to that after I finally get done with this update.

Although I am preparing for school over the next week, I will try to update the site the best as I can. I will be adding music reviews along with other media things, and hopefully I will be able to figure out a nice way to tie in all of my activity online from Twitter, PureVolume, deviantArt, Youtube, etc. together on this site so it is more of a running portfolio.
